Volunteer Event at Waltham Fields Community Farm - Saturday, October 16th, 2010 - Space is Limited
Join fellow Columbia Business School Alumni this October for a fun-filled afternoon volunteering at Waltham Fields Community Farm!
Waltham Fields Community Farm is a working farm that grows more than 100,000 pounds of food each year. The farm supports local hunger relief and food access efforts in the Greater Boston Area, and is also engaged in agricultural education, community farming, and reconnecting people with the knowledge of how food is produced.
We will be working alongside farmers, learning hands-on about how food is grown through organic practices. Potential projects include seeding, transplanting, weeding and harvesting crops. Our efforts will help support local farming as well as the Greater Boston area communities.
